“Anirudh: I think it was a year before 3 [Moonu], one night, after finishing a shoot. We were just driving around the city, and we were parking at the apartment. And sometimes, you know, cause it’s late night, we got a little sentimental. That day he said, ‘Just you wait, in 5 years, you’ll be big.” And then, 3 months later, the idea of doing 3, actually scared me at first. I was too young, plus it would need a lot of experience. But he said no, and I’ve said this a lot of times on stage, and it’ll sound like I’m being repetitive – but he always had more confidence in me than I did.

Dhanush: I think it was in 9th grade, Ani was really little, and he had a keyboard for a long time, for so long, it was almost close to being beyond repair. He’d play little pieces for me then, and I knew from then, that this talent was something special. For his birthday, I got him a sound card; and that sound card was the first object of trust, an investment, that I placed in his talent.”
