As a kid I remeber lending my voice to a nursery rhyme/story reading audio cassette (yes, a cassette, that amusing rectangle thing that was useful even after it stopped working, because you could play with the tape). So, the story was about this girl who went strawberry picking with her friends. Though my career doing the voice over was only limited to that one time, I just couldn't take the lines of my head. That girl in the story went strawberry picking on a warm, lovely afternoon and she had so much fun doing it. Unconscious, I wanted to be that character, I wanted to be in a strawberry garden with a basket picking the beautiful red berries.

I am not sure how many of you do care about or remember such small thoughts/wishes that strike our mind. I know if we cared about every small wish we had on our mind, we'd just end up being disappointed all the time. But strawberry picking was not a wish I wanted to strike off, I wanted to do that one day. People who have been friends with me for a few years now, would have definitely heard this wish of mine. In fact, I planned some holidays and weekends around just going to farms and picking fresh fruit.

The pictures in this post should tell you how ecstatic I was to finally, actually be in a Strawberry Garden. I went to Mahabelswar in January, and that trip was made only so I could fulfill this one wish. And, I can't describe the happy feeling; finally, after so many years, I understand now why people played FarmVille of Facebook. I was enjoying it so much that I plucked 3 and a half kilos of the berries; the farm owner even saw a potential professional strawberry picker in me (a post retirement career option for me ;) ;) haha).

So, about my outfit, not being cheesy or anything but I wore a field jacket to go the field. This beige light weight jacket was perfect as it was sunny yet not hot, and I needed something to not tan my arms. Light weight jackets are the best things ever for quickly changing  climates. And this maroon jumpsuit, was just to enjoy the strawberry theme. I actually had to stop myself from wearing an army green jacket, because it would been a little to dopey, looking like an actual strawberry in red and green. But, come to think of it, I did visualize that girl in my audio story in a red and green outfit.
