Following the River

I'm a Piscean and my love for water is immense. Being anywhere near even a small pond just makes me come alive. There's something very mystical about water. The way they look from the outside with so much going on underneath. The pleasant rain, the calm lakes, the uplifting sound of a stream, and the aggressive ocean waves. There's so much more to water bodies that what we see. Water is life, and being anywhere near any kind of water body makes me very happy. I feel like water is a way I interact with the world, with the nature, it's my ascendant.

The title of this blog post describes my experience along this beautiful river the best. I was in Mahabaleshwar, on a straw berry farm (see last post here) and saw this beautiful flow of river with breathtaking view of hills around it. On inquiring I was told it was not a touristy place and not very convenient to find or stay. Why would I only want to go to touristy places? So, we just followed the river, went down the Mahabaleshwar hills to Wai, to find the beautiful Krishna river surrounded by hills, that were reflecting in the water, making the place as picturesque as it can get. And believe me, there was no one there, which made the place even more prettier. Unlike a touristy place, no plastic bags, empty snack wrappers, plastic bottles lying around. Just crazy and fresh wind, breathtaking view of the water, the hills and the Dhom dam. It took us very long time on a hot day to drive there, but as much as I reached there, all my fatigue disappeared into thin air. I just wnated to be there and stay there, if only I carried a tent with me!

This blog post is not about the outfit. I wore what I wore, I didn't even know I was going there, I wanted to just make the most of the last days of Winter-Spring transition and put on a light weight sweater, with a comfy skirt. I miss winters already, I now have to wait so many months to put that lipstick again? No way, I think I'm just going to rock my dark lippers even in Summer, who cares, it's makeup, you out on what you feel like!

It was mid-day and too sunny when I took these pictures, but I still wanted to record the memory of being by this river. So, I blogged, even though I  baked red in the Sun! I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures, and if you've read so far- thank you!

Have a lovely rest of your day!

Love

Anusha
