Honestly it was so hard to pick just 9 movies…

• Anbe Sivam : This one is my all time favourite movie. The movie shows two extremely different characters (Kamal and Madhavan) who are forced to spend time together due to circumstances. It’s a true masterpice, Kamal Haasan excels (as always) as Nallasivam. Yaar Yaar sivam song was sung by Kamal himself, one of the most touching song ever !
  
• Pasanga : This movie is about the two students Anbu and Jeeva who are rivals at first but slowly they realize many things in life which makes them to eventually reunite. I really love stories with childrens, this one is realistic and very cute.
  
• Kanda Naal Mudhal : A big love for this movie cause it’s not like usual love stories. It’s a good and refreshing movie (and I’m exactly like Ramya in real life so this movie is so special for me :p).
  
• Anjali :  This one is my favourite Maniratnam movie. Anjali is a movie about how a mentally ill kid finds herself suddenly between a family and whole lot of friends in a group of apartments. Special mention for Shamilee who was just 2 years old when she acted in this movie as a mentally ill kid. Ilayaraja album is top notch !
  
• Vasool Raja MBBS : You all know how I hate remakes but this one is an exception mainly because of Crazy Mohan dialogues + Kamal Haasan acting.
  
• Thanga Meengal : The movie is about dad-daughter love, Kalyani a poor man is ready to anything for his daughter happiness, no matter what comes through. The story is really touching and YSR song Aanandha Yaazhai is just mindblowing.
  
• Vaagai Sooda Vaa : The movie is set in the 1960s, it’s the story of a teacher who try to change the mindset of villagers and explain them about the importance of education. Vimal and Iniya excelled in their roles, the story is really different and not boring (Sara Sara Sara Kathu song is so beautiful).
  
• Mozhi : A simple love story which show the life of a disabled person and their reactions towards love/affection. A must watch with a great cast (Jyothika, Prithviraj, Prakash Raj, Swarnamalya) and wonderful songs. This is by far Jo’s best performance !
  
• Indian : It’s a commercial movie which deal with corruption, Kamal Hasan rocked in his double role as a freedom fighter and the freedom fighter’s son. I love every single things from this movie (songs, unusual ending…). A must watch !
